Created in 2013, the Kinal Prize strives to encourage Cambodian students in health sciences to conduct research projects in accordance with international scientific standards in order, for students, to reach their best potential in their field, to help them to find work that matches their talents as they embark on their careers and to contribute to the development of scientific research in Cambodia.

This prize encourages the young generation to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Kok Sok Kim, who, 64 years ago, launched the pain killer medicine Kinal, the first drug produced in Cambodia released just after the country declared its independence.

The Kinal Prize is organized by The Kinal Foundation which is supported by PPM, Cambodia’s premier pharmaceutical company.
